How to Make a Trailer Workshop

Beth Barany Productions presents:

How to Make a Trailer to Fundraise for Your Film

Date & time Sunday, October 18, 2026
1–4 p.m.
Location 14 Glen Ave.
Oakland, CA
Cost $5 for WIFSFBA members
$10 for nonmembers

Come to a three-hour workshop and learn how to script a one- to two-minute fundraising trailer—no matter where you are in your project.

Such a fundraising trailer is a short video meant to attract your right audience to your project to raise money.

You may be just considering funding and are at the beginning of your film or ready for another round of funding in post-production.

We’re going to help you get clear about:

  • Who is your audience?
  • How do you craft a short script?
  • How do you brainstorm the imagery that goes along with it?
  • How do you create it on a shoestring budget, a big budget, or anywhere in between?
